Course Objectives

 Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 

  • Identify the elements of a communication situation.
  • Perform preliminary audience analysis.
  • Selection of appropriate subject matter.
  • Gather and select appropriate materials.
  • Organize material into appropriate structural pattern for oral presentation.
  • Encode thoughts into appropriate verbal and non-verbal transmissions.
  • Practice by rehearsal the oral presentation of the speech.
  • Present the speech to a live audience.
  • Listen, evaluate, and critique oral presentations by other students.
  • Incorporate and use of visual aids into an oral presentation.
  • Define and apply various training methods to meet business needs.
  • Conduct Needs Assessment, and Determine when training is a possible solution.
  • Develop Adult Learning Instructional Design training materials and Lesson plans.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Illustrate how new technologies influence training.
  • Describe the Trainer’s Role 
  • Identify challenges in training and development
  • Demonstrate various games & activities
